Prior to Specialty MGA UK, Dermot has over 40 years of underwriting experience in London insurance market including Lloyd’s of London. He has also worked in the Middle East where he set-up and managed Qatar Re as CEO. He also worked at Emirates International in UAE where he served as the CUO and was principally underwriting Energy and Marine portfolios. Dermot also spent two years working in various roles at elseco MGA Dubai. Dermot holds an honours degree in English Law from the University of Exeter (LLB Hons) and a Diploma in Management (DMS) from Henley Management College, UK.
